LIGHT AND WATER – elements of life. For nearly 40 years now, this combination has been the basic philosophy of uwe when it comes to creating well-being for body and soul.

The magic of light has enchanted mankind for centuries, even old masters made use of the allure of light and shade in their works of art.

Inspired by the unique play of light and colour in the “Blue Grotto”, engineers and designers from the uwe company worked together with internationally renowned light artist Prof. Walter Giers to create the swimming illumination “LUXOS”.

In the evening, “LUXOS” gives the water’s surface a mysterious sheen. Powerful LEDs, together with a specially constructed prism, create a unique, white, warm all-round light strip  just under the surface of the water where it performs an extraordinary dance with the movement of the waves.

By changing colours, the light ball can produce various lighting moods; “LUXOS” can be easily switched on and off by a remote control that also fixes the colours.

The rechargeable battery that operates the swimming lamp can be charged during the day using a battery-charging station outside the pool; the light lasts for about seven hours. “LUXOS”, therefore, does not require any cables and can be used in pools and ponds without the need to carry out any installation work. Additional benefits are that it increases  security at the edge of the pool and cuts out glare.

The graceful design of “LUXOS” enhances the pool: just like the leaves of water lilies, unostentatiously elegant bowls bear the light balls. A stylistically confident design, full of the most up-to-date uwe technology for timeless romance at the pool – inimitable moments for every pool owner.
